The following things give, IMO, only half the picture. I’ve always believed in a genetic etiology, which even before you’re born determines one’s neurodivergence and fucks up one’s nervous and dopaminergic systems. Ralph Klein admits the importance of other etiological factors. Even more so does Zachary Wheeler.
Moreover, I believe in depressive realism[🡕] and I despise the pathologization of it.

I don’t know who made the recapitulatory diagram; notice however the intelligent use of the alien from Men in Black (1997), who in the movie was “piloting” a human body from inside its head; this quite accurately represents how the schizoid feels like an observer of his own persona and the outside world, rather than a true part and participant of the world.
