Virtual reality

Virtual reality and augmented reality have always been so much behind in the technological development. Today we are still so far behind that it’s downright ridiculous, albeit understandable: shit is hard to build.

As consumers, we get the absolute worst, with these displays that are like watching the world through a dense metallic net. Then, after a while, the devices land in the infamous drawers and closets, to never see the light again, because after all these are just palliative.

Even though the content is the biggest issue, for in 2023 there is still only HL:A to play and nothing else, the true problem is that if you don’t like RL you actually don’t enjoy VR either, because they’re pretty much the same thing. Even if you can fly, existence is still existence. Reality is dull, and games are even more so.

And then, if you’re neurodivergent you likely have such a strong and powerful imagination which covers all the senses, which is way better than VR which only covers two…
